I am a passionate environmentalist with a background in fashion design and a career in print and digital publishing that spans over a decade. Having been the publisher of FMS Magazine since 2008, I’m now on a mission to outlaw production of unnecessary single-use plastic via my latest venture, Anti-Plastic People - a not-for-profit, community interest company set to disrupt plastic culture via a 360 strategy to tackle needless pollution.
Having started out as a fashion designer, I designed for a range of brands, from high street to luxury, with my graduate collection being picked up by The Guardian. My designs have also been featured in the likes of Vogue and other national fashion magazines.
My entry into publishing was as Fashion Editor for Lusso luxury lifestyle magazine, but after falling in love with the music scene and wanting to give talented up-and-coming artists exposure, I founded my own magazine that embraced both my passions, while promoting the link between the two. FASHION.MUSIC.STYLE was retailed in over 30 countries worldwide and featured a regular Five Unsigned section (and sponsored CD) that picked up on artists such as Anna Calvi, Ellie Goulding and Catfish & The Bottlemen.
In 2018, FMS Magazine turned its focus to conscious consumerism, filtering out fast fashion in favour of the sustainable and ethical, while continuing to showcase both up-and-coming and established talent from around the globe – from fashion, music and style, through to food, film and culture.
