Dewi Thomas

Dewi established Employee Volunteering (EV) in 2007. He started his career as an engineering officer with the Royal Air Force serving with the Chinook Force in Bosnia, Rwanda and Iraq. On leaving the RAF in 2004 he worked alongside the United Kingdom Sailing Academy in Cowes to restore Sir Francis Chichester’s historic yacht, Gypsy Moth IV, and organised the two year circumnavigation taking young people from disadvantaged backgrounds on various legs of the world voyage. This was the inspiration behind establishing Employee Volunteering CIC as a Community Interest Company. In 2017 EV delivered 400 volunteering events in 57 cities across the UK and Ireland.
